he can't be a man

it's my first day back to school after an eight day thanksgiving weekend. this is how i've felt all day. i'm going through a major cat power phase. and another rolling stones phase. and did i mention that i've had 23 cups of coffee in the past week? i've been counting. 14 of them were starbucks. they had a buy one get one sale a week ago (i think). so here's a mix of my recent music obsessions.

happy sunday

well, i've nearly survived the weekend. just another twelve hours left. for me these kind of cold late fall days call for cat power. so here's the nostalgic video to '97s nude as the news.

and here's a live video of good clean fun and fate of the human carbine.

red dresses

i remember it was about a year ago that i actually became a small fan of genesis. i watched in awe as peter gabriel waltzed across the stage wearing a fox head and a red dress. apparently they weren't noticed before any of his insane antics, but at the same time they weren't really remembered until phil collins stepped in. i could never understand why anybody liked genesis so much after it lost everything that made it unique. sure, it was good music, but peter gabriel made everything more interesting. i mean who else had the audacity to pretend to be a lawnmower?
